• microeconomic theory: information economics and game theory, especially currently active topics in applied theory (evidence, expertise, persuasion)
• governance and management: allocation of authority and decision-making in corporations and organizations (voting, committees, group decision-making, hierarchy, decentralization, delegation, bargaining, communication, contracts and internal management practices)
• corporate finance theory: corporate governance (boards, executive networks, institutional investors, proxy advisors, shareholder voting, shareholder coalitions, ownership structures) and topics in financial intermediation (rating agencies), including topics in accounting and economics (reporting)
• corporate influence: lobbying, political actions and political connections
• microeconomic regulations: provision of information on markets (certifications, disclosures, CSR, online privacy, consumer protection, warranties, intermediation), including regulatory topics from online industry
