11/04/2016 - Call for application: six paid positions in the Center for Doctoral Studies
The Dean of the Faculty of Social Science, Charles university offers six paid positions in the Center for Doctoral Studies at IES FSV UK. Prospective as well as current PhD students can apply for positions at the CDS. It is an opportunity for Ph.D. students to help them fund the studies.
Requirements: Master’s degree, study in presence form of the Ph.D. program at IES in Academic year 2016/2017. Job starts in September 2016.
Please send applications (in form of motivation letter) with CV, ratified degree of education and list of publication and at least one letter of recommendation to the personnel department FSV UK, Smetanovo nábř. 6, 110 01 Praha 1. the deadline is May 3rd, 2016. 23/03/2016 - Study our Ph.D. in Economics
Dear Master students, let me invite you:
1. to apply for Ph.D. in Economics (deadline April 30, entrance exam June 15). Two most important conditions for successful application are a well prepared research proposal and an agreement with the prospective supervisor from senior faculty members. Each faculty member can manage only limited amount of PhD. candidates, therefore do not hesitate to contact the prospective supervisor sooner than later.
2. for an optional information meeting for applicants on March 30th 2016, 14:00, room no. 105, IES, Opletalova 26, Prague. This is a meeting with the Director of Graduate Studies, where applicants will have the opportunity to ask any questions regarding the program and its admission process.
3. to apply for positions at the Center of Doctoral Studies (CDS). CDS has altogether six paid positions and helps to organize Ph.D. in Economics at IES. It is an opportunity for Ph.D. students to fund theor studies. The deadline for CDS applications is usually in April and the interviews are during June.

It is an opportunity for Ph.D. students to help them fund the studies. The deadline for CDS applications is 24 May and the interviews will be at the beginning of June. Requirements: present study of PhD. program at IES in academic year 2015/2016. Start: September 2015. 18/04/2015 - Policy research seminar
We invite students to voluntary seminar on applied policy research. This week's topic "The negative effect of EU funds" will be presented by Jiří Skuhrovec on Thursday 23.4. at 18:30 in room 601. We hope to get lively discussion and encourage students to present their research to get relevant feedback.
Seminar will take place every second Thursday, more details on seminar page.

10/04/2014 - Job positions open for 6 Ph.D. students at the Center for doctoral studies at the IES
We recommend that the applicants as well as the current first-year Ph.D. students consider applying for one of the six positions (0.1 part-time) now open in the Centre for doctoral studies of the IES with the beginning of September 2014. One of the requirements is to be a full-time Ph.D. student during the 2014/2015 academic year. The applications together with CV, personal form, verified copies of the education attained, a list of academic publications and at least one academic recommendation should be sent by May 24 to HR office at FSV UK, Smetanovo nábř. 6, 110 01 Praha 1. more information at the bottom of this Ph.D. webpage.
