| Description: | Anti-social behavior is widespread in the society and has large negative consequences on individuals as well as on the society as a whole. Countless research in economics, psychology, criminology and pedagogy documented the complex nature of anti-social behavior and showed that, similarly to other preferences and traits, the anti-social preferences develop mostly from childhood into adulthood. The aim of this project is to study how identity and subjective future prospects influence anti-social preferences among children and adults with behavioral problems. In order to measure it, we will conduct a series of incentivized experiments in special facilities for children with behavioral problems and in probation and mediation centers in the Czech Republic. The results should not only contribute to the debate about anti-social preferences but can have clear implications for the design of public policies for children and adults with behavioral problems. |
