| Abstrakt: | In this paper we analyze the impact of the Czech social and taxation system on income distribution. We examine in detail the part of social system intended to reduce poverty. We do not discuss the old-age pension system, which we consider to be a unique issue with different problems and solutions . Our goal here is to show the impact of social benefits and income-tax-deductible allowance on income distribution in the Czech Republic. Toward this we use a regular household budget survey for 1999, as organized and published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO). |
