Abstract: The Bachelor thesis can be divided into two complementary parts. In the first theoretical part, applied econometric analyses are explained. We clarify the background of discrimination analysis, logit and probit. Subsequently, the variables, i.e. ratios of liquidity, return, activity-/efficiency and debt, are described.
The following second part is empirical. Before realizing the econometric analysis, we first examine, whether the assumptions are satisfied. Then, using the discrimination analysis, logit and probit, we attempt to find a function, which would clasify the company according to the ratios to either prospering or going bankrupt companies.
