Abstract: | My objective of this paper is to analyse how IKEA profits from the higher standard of living. The prices are the lowest in the Czech Republic LQ&HQWUDO(XURSH,ZLOODOVRVKRZKRZ,.($¶VUHYHQXHDQGVDOHVDUHDIIHFWHGE\WKH rise of the Czech standard of living. The theory should support the claim that higher the incomes of Czech people, the higher revenue IKEA will obtain. Moreover, I will also focus on minimum requirements for environment, social and working conditions when SXUFKDVLQJSURGXFWVPDWHULDOVDQGVHUYLFHVDQGLWVLQIOXHQFHRQWKHVXSSOLHU¶V companies and its eventual impact on the local society. The study will investigate if WKHVHUHTXLUHPHQWVKDYHSRVLWLYHRUQHJDWLYHLPSDFWRQFRPSDQ\¶VVDOHVDQGKRZ does these requirements affect the competition of the suppliers and sub-suppliers. Data and interviews should support the claim that IWAY and cooperation with IKEA reduces the cost and increases efficiency of the suppliers and sub-suppliers. In addition, IWAY and cooperation of IKEA should also enhance competitiveness among the suppliers and sub-suppliers. |
