Abstract: | The high level of unemployment is one of the biggest issues in the current European Union. Its structural part -- so-called structural unemployment -- is considered as the most important part of actual unemployment. It sets up the framework of labor market performance. The content of this paper is theoretical and empirical analysis of the structural unemployment in member states of the European Union. Social systems and labor costs, as the institutional factors with the main influence to the labor market framework, are in particular focus. |
