In the volumes 1919 to 1929 of the journal Obzor národohospodářský, I picked those articles up, which are related to the problems of monetary and financial policies in Czechoslovak Republic during that period. With the beginning in 1919 when a reform of currency took place, Czechoslovak Republic was experiencing a specific development of monetary and financial policies. I’m trying to describe the development, as it is pictured in the journal with the focus on the problematical processes. Especially the currency reform in 1919, subsequent period of deflation, the opening of the Nation bank of Czechoslovakia and the development of state budget up to year 1927, when the reform of budget and taxies took place. |
