Abstract: The objective of this diploma thesis is to compare theoretical and real behavior of recruitment agency towards company that hired it to acquire applicants and choose the best one of them. In the first part the microeconomic Principal-agent theory is introduced. It focuses on parts of the theory concerning hidden information and principle of revelation. In the second part I use this theory to determine Company’s theoretical behavior general rules. I specify these rules in details after introducing the theory of acquiring and choice of the employees and theory of signaling. In following part I compare theoretical conclusions to experiences of experts, advantages, disadvantages and risks of using services of recruitment agencies as stated in the books and articles.
