Abstract: This study focuses on factors influencing inflows of foreign direct investment (FDI) into the host country. One of the main examined factors is statutory corporate tax rate. Then we focus on influence of unemployment, real GDP growth and national specificity. At the beginning of this work, we place survey of literature concerning the topic and possible approaches. The Study employ econometric analysis of real dataset of 10 selected countries within European Union in years 1995 – 2005. The Results of our analysis are compared with results of other studies. Then, from the results of statistical part, we conclude conclusions concerning influence of particular independent variables on FDI.
