The aim of my thesis is to describe the problems of prisoner’s dilemma and to illustrate its influence on some closely related economic issues. At first, I describe the necessary basic principles of two-person nonantagonistic game theory. Subsequently, I descend from explaining basic concepts, in particular general form, Nash equilibrium and problem occurring in case of iterated game, to the description of each individual type of possible strategy that are tested and compared in many shown experiments. Consequently, I am concentrating on theory of duopoly (cartel) and decision making in advertising campaign and finally I illustrate all above by theoretic (e.g. Hawk-Dove game) and practical (international issues) examples. |
