Master degrees

Magisterský program Ekonomie a finance is a two-year study program taught in Czech and English. The program provides extensive training in the economic theory, financial economics, and in quantitative skills. The students select a track: Economic Theory and Modeling, and Finance, Financial Markets and Banking. The program offers a variety of elective courses, including monetary economics, macroeconomic modeling, applied microeconomics, quantitative finance, financial management, asset pricing, data science and many others.

Master in Economics and Finance (MEF) is a two-year program taught fully in English. It aims to give students a thorough grounding in both theoretical and applied economics, with an emphasis on analytical and quantitative skills. The courses are taught both by core faculty and professionals from the central bank, commercial banks, and business analysts.

Master in Finance and Data Analytics (MFDA) is a two-year English-language Master's degree programme designed to pair the key areas of finance and data analytics. The programme takes a data driven approach to analysis of financial markets and organisational information covering key theoretical principles of finance, financial modeling and financial markets to prepare students for a dynamic career in finance, banking and a range of other sectors. Focusing on modern statistical analysis, data modeling, programming, big data and machine learning techniques, program equips the student with a thorough understanding and advanced skills in theoretical and applied finance with emphasis on computational aspects of the problems. 

Corporate Strategy and Finance (CSF) is a two-year master’s double-degree program with Sciences Po Strasbourg, University of Strasbourg taught in English. Each student is requested to spend one academic year at each of the Partner Universities. Upon the completion of the studies, each student will receive the Diploma Master in “Corporate Strategy and Finance in Europe” from University of Strasbourg and the Master’s degree Diploma with the academic title “Magistr” from Charles University in Prague.

International Economic and Political Studies (IEPS) is a two-year program taught fully in English. The program investigates contemporary political, economic, and social issues from a multidisciplinary perspective. The program is based on Political Science, Economics, History, Law, and Sociology. Our Institute provides mandatory and elective courses in Economics, especially courses in international economics and trade policy, both on the introductory and intermediate levels.
