Description: | The course ntroduces and discusses some of the key concepts relevant to the application of competition policy principles in the Czech Republic and Europe by competition authorities and regulatory authorities. We will discuss Articles 101 and 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). We will focus on cartels, mergers, vertical contracts, predatory pricing, exclusionary practices, and margin squeeze. You will acquire an understanding of competition policy principles and practice. We will discuss several case studies. The course requires a familiarity with intermediate microeconomics. The course is taught in English. |
