will take place on October 4, 2006. The exam consits from 4 parts: general economic theory, two selected courses and evaluation of submitted materials documenting state of development of PhD dissertation. Applications together with recommendatiuon of supervisor should be submitted to department of PhD studies at the Dean office until September 15, 2006, copy submit to the secretariat of IES. Materials with synopsis of dissertation and completed essays (chapters) submit together with copy of applications to the secretariat.

The 2nd edition of the Jean Monnet Workshop "Politics and Economics of European Integration & Economic Theory of Political Markets" will take place on 17-18 September at the Institute of Economic Studies. We expect to reach researchers from Charles University and other European universities, namely PhD students and scholars focused on the issues of European economics as well as on the problems of economic theory of political markets.
