The ongoing global financial turmoil has impacted the existing regulation of the world financial sector in various fields such as banking, risk management, bankruptcy procedures and corporate governance. The project concentrates on an analysis of riskiness of banking sector and financial markets as well as on potential institutional responses to this crisis. This project will generate new theoretical results and it will provide original empirical results based on data covering the period since the first signals of the global financial crisis up to the expected recovery period. Moreover, it will contribute to practical recommendations on the optimal design of institutional and regulatory changes of the financial sector.
Results of this project are regularly discussed at special seminars ELBF - Economics and Law in Banking and Finance (http://ies.fsv.cuni.cz/cs/syllab/ELBF). |
