The project focuses on the information value of the wholesale electricity prices in the Czech Republic, in particular on the information value of futures (F PXE CZ BL/PL CAL) traded on the PXE (Power Exchange Central Europe) in last four years, analyzed prices are both for Base load and Peak load. Our team has at disposal the same type of data (for the same period) even for Germany which would allow us to perform comparative study as well. Today's price of the electricity delivered in future includes (when weather and season are excluded) the economy's expectations about growth, impact of the growing number of Photovoltaics and others interesting phenomena which we would like to analyze in greater detail. Electricity prices have a great explanatory value which should be used. |
