| Abstract: | The paper, partly published in the weekly journal Ekonom, issues 10 and 11/2003, argues that the enlargement negotiations between central European countries and the EU were preoccupied by the budgetary transfers and omitted more important factors, such as: - the moral dimension of the European integration, - adoption of unified rules (acquis), - returns from free trade, - economics of mutual dependency and solidarity, participation in monetary union. |
