This paper analyzes influence of international trade on economic growth of single countries in Latin America regarding influence of another important indices like inflation rate, external debt, poverty and many more. Second chapter deals with the economic growth after the World War II, when the most of Latin American countries benefited from the postwar boom. But this did not last forever, because while becoming closer to year 1970, the majority of postwar economies were becoming economically strong again. It resulted in a reduction of demand for Latin American products. Thus they were forced to look for new markets, mainly on their own continent. And that is what the fourth chapter deals with. It describes the efforts of Latin American economies to establish commerce within the region through the various free trade agreements and organizations of common trade. The aim of the Thesis is then to evaluate the success of these trends. |
