The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the influence of the Regional Policy of the European Union on the regional development in the Czech Republic illustrated by an example of the Moravian-Silesian Region. The first part of the thesis deals with the Regional Policy of the European Union, its development and organization. The second part is focused on the Regional Policy in the Czech Republic, particularly on its development since the middle of the nineties in connection with the preparation for the accession to the European Union. It analyses economic level of the regions in the Czech Republic. The following part shows the course of the use of the Regional Policy of the European Union in the Czech Republic with a prospect to 2013. The third part deals with the use of the Regional Policy of the European Union in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The last part compares the use of the Regional Policy of the European Union in the Moravian-Silesian Region with the Silesian Region in Poland and Saxony in Germany. |
