Abstract: |
The subject of this thesis is the field of business ethics, mainly the corporate social responsibillity conception (CSR) which is presently becoming a phenomenon, especially in global markets. In my thesis I deal with different aspects of CSR. The theoretical part describes the evolution of the conception from its beginnings and outlines an academic reasoning which have influenced its further developments. In the practical part I deal with a process of CSR integration, instruments of business ethics and individual areas where firms can practice their ethic consideration. The conclusion summarizes economic as well as social performance of firms. Up to now researches regarding a relation of ethic behaviour and financial results have not robustly proved the relation to be positively correlated. I thereby relativise the proclaimed CSR benefits and I also give some examples of academic discussions on this topic. |
