| Abstract: | This paper deals with the evolvement and causes of two important banking affaires: French Crédit Lyonnais and Czech IPB. It analyses them and compares from several different aspects. The first part is devoted to the French banking system. It is then followed by an extensive description of the Crédit Lyonnais affaire – its evolvement, causes and its following resolution. It briefly mentions the IPB affaire. The second part is a comparative analysis of the two affaires, looks for similarities and differences. |
