The paper starts with a general introduction to the topic of pensions, contains a detailed description of the structure and evolution of both pension systems as well as unfolds the implemented changes along the time line. Last but not least, the paper elaborates the sustainability of both systems in the context of unfavourable demographic development. The core part of the document highlights the key characteristics of the two systems and compares the impacts of the implemented Slovak pension reform with those of the Czech reform plans. |
