| Abstract: | This thesis aims to analyze the process of emergence and evolution of multinational enterprises (MNEs). In the first part, I’ll focus on the applicable literature in order to identify the dominant theories used to depict the growth of multinational enterprises. The second part will be dedicated to the emergence and evolution of US-based multinational corporations, being the most powerful MNEs in the global economic system. |
