| Abstract: | This work concentrates especially on addition of originally czech economist Ota Šik to a economic theory. In the Introduction, there is a relatively wide outlined his biography, because events in his life has had an important effect on Šiks economic sentiment. This opening chapter is fill up with analyse and digest of Šiks broad publishing activity. The Body of the work is dedicated to Ota Šiks theoretical bequest on a field of economical science. The accent was set on reform ideas from the spell before august 1968. Relativelly complexly are described tha main principles of a reform or so called New Board Framework. I could bypass the most important attitudes of critics of New Framework. Less ample is then discussed Šiks work after his emigration. From this spell is there a space dedicated to a concept of so called Third Way, compromise solution that consolidates elements of capitalism and socialism. The aim of my work is to acquaint a reader with the important personality of Ota Šik and to describe his most important economical judgements, ideas and outlooks |
